In 2023 the CultTech Association followed three main directions: creation, education and innovation. Here you can find, at a glance, our key events of 2023.
Launch of the CultTech AssociationSpring 2023

CultTech Accelerator Demo DaysVienna, 1 February / 2 June / 30 November 2023
We’ve had 3 Demo Days and worked with about 30 culttech startups in 2023.- AI for Culture/MusicSalzburg, 4 August / Linz, 7 September / Venice, 21 October 2023
We ran a series of events to research the relationship between AI and culture, particularly music.

A special award for Social Impact Projects in Culture and Technology. We received 278 applications (118 qualified) from 53 countries overall.

The innovative, transformative ensemble is dismantling the elitist notions that often surround classical and contemporary academic music.- Immersive Promenade-Concert "Through the Klangforum"19th December 2023
A theater & music performance directed by Philip Grigoryan in collaboration with the Klangforum Wien.

Tower of BabelVienna, 18 – 19 June / Berlin, 14 October 2023
Klangforum Wien, in collaboration with Wiener Konzerthaus and our partners at AFF Projects, has organized “The Tower of Babel”, a project exploring new music scenes in post-Soviet territories.- Friends of Salzburg FestivalSalzburg, 8 – 13 August 2023
As part of the 103rd Salzburg Festival, the CultTech Association curated a cultural programme for the Society of Friends of the Salzburg Festival.
VOICES FestivalBerlin, 27 September – 25 October 2023
VOICES is an independent music and theatre festival that took place in Berlin. Our partner AFF Projects was supporting selected dance performances that were showcased at the festival.- Vienna Contemporary Art FairVienna, 07 – 10 September 2023
Respected organisers of the Vienna Contemporary Art Fair 2023 showcased a diverse range of art, supporting the creation of an artistic piece in the metaverse in partnership with Meta.
